Question by Mike S.: How can I get started with playing Guitar?
Recently a friend gave me his electric guitar because he never used it and I told him I was interested in learning to play. The only problem is, no one in my family knows how to play, and neither do my friends. And I really don’t have time for lessons due to my college studies, extracurriculars, and my job, and a bunch of other stuff. But I really wanna learn!

So what’s the best way to learn the basics? Is there like a website or DVD or anything that’ll help?

Best answer:

Answer by Diamond
the way i learned at first was a booklet at music central. just shows you the strings. after i learned the book i just started playing allong to the radio the best i could. see, once you get the simple steps down its really not that hard.

best of luck
